Had this a few years and still enjoying it and glad not to be exposing ourselves to any nasty non-stick coating like plug-in waffle makers. We put it on the outside grill to get the waxy protective coating it arrives with off. Once that was dealt with it’s been smooth sailing with this. We use it on our electric range coils (3.5 minutes each side at a little past 3 heat) but will upgrade to an induction range so will be curious if it still works on that.
Too small, handle too short not sturdy, hard to clean. Design is poor.
Casting was rough and had several sharp edges. I had to grind them down before using.
This is a great waffle iron once you get the hang of it. I use it's on my gas stove and it took a couple batches to get the timing and heat setting down. Would definitely recommend this.
I've always been nostalgic about small-square waffles (they just taste better than Belgian waffles in my opinion). After my electric waffle maker bit the dust, I wanted something that would last a few lifetimes, so I bought this. It seasoned really well--three coats rendered it perfectly nonstick, and the waffles come out perfect every time. I'm very happy with the purchase.
